We are gearing up for our 13th Annual Pooch Parade, Dog Walk and Pet Expo on Sunday July 11, 2010 at the San Buenaventura State Beach Park in Ventura, California. Last year more than 2500 people and over 600 paws attended this worthy cause.

Last year with your generous support we brought in more than $50,000. Our goal for this year is to reach $65,000 to fund the homeless dogs in our Sanctuary and the Project Second Chance Adoption Program.

Our theme this year is – "We Rescue Them, They Rescue Us" This is a poignant theme meant to make us remember and appreciate our pets and the many ways in which they have enriched our lives. We may have given them a second chance for a better life but it is their unconditional love that makes our house a home. Following the dog walk, families will enjoy a lunch, pet demonstrations, pet contests, and adoptions with many area rescue groups, a Silent Auction with over 200 items and over 40 pet-related vendor products. This is the only event like this in the area!

Last year our sponsors included: Cumulus Media, Buena Animal Hospital, Hubbard & Gruber, CPA's, PetSmart/Banfield The Pet Hospital, OC Dog Magazine and many other local companies. If you really want great positioning, I suggest you look at the Tail Wagger Sponsor level and up.

Canine Adoption and Rescue League is a Ventura County based non-profit dog/puppy rescue and placement organization founded in 1996 and run almost entirely by volunteers. Funds raised from this event will help offset the many supplies, medical expenses, and obedience training for the animals and their care. Over 5,000 dogs and puppies have come through our program and have been given a second chance.
