Happy Tails

Thomas:

I was rescued by C.A.R.L. as an owner surrender. I had a fracture in the growth plate in my leg that was surgically fixed. My recovery went great and I'm as good as new. My mom and dad are thrilled to have found me. They can't believe no one had scooped me up long before. I can't wait to make lots of wonderful memories with my loving family.

Moe:

If I hadn't been rescued from Animal Regulation by the good people at C.A.R.L., I surely wouldn't be here today as I had severe kennel anxiety and was chewing on the bars and broke a few teeth. After being rescued, I had surgery on my teeth and the vet had to remove 3 canines, 2 incisors and many teeth on my lower right side. Some teeth were damaged previously, plus I had the ones I damaged chewing on the bars of the kennel. The vet was surprised how happy I was since some of my damaged teeth had the roots exposed. The vet thought for sure I ought to be in a lot of pain. I'm happy to say that I've been adopted into a wonderful family and I have a 'sister' to play with too. Here are a few pictures of me, when I was at C.A.R.L., with Dad and me in the car waiting to go to my forever home.

Charlie:

I may not look familiar to you because I was rescued from Animal Regulation and went straight to my forever home. You see someone didn't read what the veterinarian wrote very carefully. The vet wrote 'Cat X' and someone read it as 'Pit X'. I was out of time, but thankfully my mom came to my rescue. She frantically called C.A.R.L. in hopes they could help her get me to safety. Thankfully C.A.R.L. did and as they say the rest is history. I'm 8 weeks in the picture above, but I'm a lot bigger now, but still just as cute. My mom thinks I'm so funny and my story is such a success, that I deserved to have my own website, blog and all! You can keep up with my daily adventures at www.charliethecatahoula.com.

Reese now Smokey:

I'm one of many dogs that were seized in a raid in El Rio by Animal Regulation. We were rescued by C.A.R.L. on our 'last' day. As you can see I'm enjoying being a cherished member of the family. I hope the rest of my 'brothers and sisters' will soon be in their forever homes too.

Tiny Tim:

Born 2 days after Christmas, my mom and siblings were rescued from Animal Regulation by C.A.R.L. What a wonderful belated Christmas present to receive, a chance to be cherished members of a loving family. I was the runt of the litter weighing only 2 lbs. No one was sure I would 'make it', but through the love and care of a wonderful C.A.R.L. volunteer, I did. As you can see I'm not a runt anymore! My mom thinks I'm the cutest little guy and I definitely keep them on their toes! I have a sister Lucy that I get along great with too. The picture on the left is me at 4.5 weeks old. The one on the right is me and my sister Lucy.

Lucy:

I'm a beautiful Shar-pei that was rescued from Animal Regulation by C.A.R.L. Since I've been adopted, I've put on weight and my coat is now shiny and I'm so happy to have a home and family to call my own. You can see I think I'm a lap dog. I also enjoy running and playing with my brothers Major and Joe.

Olga now Lulu:

I was rescued by C.A.R.L. from Animal Regulation where I was taken as a stray. As you can see from my pictures I'm a gorgeous Chow mix. My mom takes me to the beach, we walk and bike ride on logging road trails and she gives me lots of hugs and kisses. I'm taking obedience classes and I'm doing great. I even get along with my sibling…a cat! One day my mom saw me standing with the cat underneath me. I sure am enjoying my life with my wonderful family.

Hope:

I was pregnant and out of time when I was rescued by C.A.R.L. from Animal Regulation. I went straight to a foster home where the very next day I gave birth to 12 puppies! I know our breed gets a bad rap, but all of us have found our forever homes and we're loving being cherished members of the family. We'll always be grateful to C.A.R.L. for saving us, our foster family for giving me a place to raise my puppies until they were ready for adoption and to all our wonderful families who looked past our breed and saw us for the sweet and wonderful dogs that we are.

Merry now Graceland:

I'm a beautiful Blue Pit Bull who was rescued from Animal Regulation, pregnant and on my 'last day' by the good people at C.A.R.L. I delivered 11 puppies 2 days later, but sadly only 4 survived I'm happy to report that all my babies and I are cherished members of our own family. You can see how happy I am in my pictures. We're thankful that there are people who will look past our breed and are willing to make us a part of their family.

Raider:

I am one of many dogs that were seized in a raid in El Rio by Animal Regulation. We were rescued by C.A.R.L. on our 'last' day. I'm making myself right at home with my new family. I hope the rest of my 'brothers and sisters' will soon be in their forever homes too.
