Silent Auction

It's that time again! On Sunday, July 11, 2010 the Canine Adoption and Rescue League will host its 13th Annual Pooch Parade Dog Walk & Pet Expo from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the San Buenaventura State Beach Park in Ventura. Our theme this year is: "WE RESCUE THEM…THEY RESCUE US" . This is a poignant theme meant to make us remember and appreciate our pets and the many ways in which they have enriched our lives. We may have given them a second chance for a better life but it is their unconditional love that makes our house a home.

This year promises to be the "best yet" - filled with activities for every pet lover. Following the traditional charity dog walk "Pooch Parade" that takes participants and their dogs along the beach, we will enjoy pet contests, demonstrations, food, silent auction, raffle, adoptions through local rescue groups, and exciting pet related vendors. Last year we had over 2,500 people at this event and raised over $50,000.00.

We need your help to make this event a success! Please consider donating a gift certificate(s) or items for a basket on the Silent Auction table. This is a wonderful way to promote your business and support a worthy cause. Please download and complete the donation form and, if you wish, include a sample product or service pamphlets. Funds raised from this event will help to offset the cost of supplies, medical expenses, and obedience training for the dogs in the Canine Adoption and Rescue League's Project Second Chance Adoption Program.. C.A.R.L is a Ventura County based 501c(3) non-profit dog/puppy rescue and placement organization, which was founded in 1996.

Our mission is to place unwanted, abandoned and homeless dogs into pre-screened, responsible, loving, permanent homes. Over 5,000 dogs and puppies have come through our program and have been given a second chance.
